About Us

Physio2U Carlisle was set up to provide a rehabilitation service to people in their own homes, whether due to convenience, work/life pressures, or if visiting a clinic just isn’t feasible. Not only physiotherapy but Physio2U Carlisle also provides sports & therapeutic massage to provide a one stop shop for your rehab & recovery.

Our mission is to ensure people get the right treatment at the right time, meaning they receive the treatment they want & need with minimal waiting lists for quick recovery. We use a hands-on approach to our practice with a focus on informed decision making, education, understanding, effective listening & clear, direct instructions so you know what you need to do to get better.

Our goal at Physio2U Carlisle is to provide a high-quality service that will get you back to doing what you love as quickly & safely as possible through evidence-based practice.

Meet The Team

Niki

Qualifying from Liverpool John Moore’s University in 1986, Niki started her career in the NHS at Blackpool and then Carlisle completing the core fields of respiratory , orthopaedics, medical and elderly care before specialising in treating sports injuries in Pro-Med private practice . She then pursued a career in the NHS specialising in community/home rehabilitation & contributed to creating the Cumberland Infirmary‘s at home rehabilitation service that continues today. Latterly she worked as the lead specialist physiotherapist in North Cumbria treating amputees and long-term conditions.
A tennis & squash player at county level in her youth & now a keen golfer who plays for Cumbria, playing off a handicap of 5 Niki understands the importance of sport & exercise from both a physiotherapist’s & a player’s perspective. She combined her love of golf and her profession to gain experience working for England Golf with the elite girls squads to help treat and prevent injuries.

James

Qualifying from Sheffield Hallam University in 2018 James pursued a career in the NHS where he gained experience working in a multitude of fields giving him a broad range of all conditions, with a particular focus in out-patient rehabilitation. James has experience working with patients with strokes, respiratory conditions, recent surgeries, orthopaedics, cardiac conditions, sports injuries & domiciliary physio. Community experience has made him proficient in balance, falls, home & gait assessments & tailoring balance programmes specific to his patients. As well as physiotherapy James can provide soft tissue massage for tension & stress relief, combined with his knowledge of the body as a physiotherapist he can focus on those areas of tightness to leave his clients de-stressed & relaxed.
